The Blu-In was acquired by the Manthei family in the summer of 2021. Keep reading to see the previous owners’ letter, why the name has been changed and about the new owners.
Previous owners and founders Jeff & Patti Jester had been coming out to off-road and explore the desert with their family since 1982.
The Jesters had a vision to build an RV park focused on family fun, making good memories and off-roading adventures. With positive feedback from other off-roaders, they set out to build the Blu-In and were finished in April 2009.
After years of hard work and good times, Jeff & Patti sold the Blu-In RV Park to the Manthei family in the summer of 2021. The Manthei family has been in the RV business since the 1970s and is excited to continue to provide a desert haven for family fun.

The Blu-In Has a new name
The Blu-In’s new name is Ocotillo RV Resort! The new name describes the surrounding area and what to expect.
While the name is new, dedication to a family friendly atmosphere and fun exploring the desert will stay the same!
About The New Owners
The Manthei family’s start in the RV business began with Tim Manthei in 1970. Fresh out of college, Tim ventured out into the California desert near Palm Springs and began building his first spaces.
The family now owns and operates three other RV and manufactured home resorts in the southwest. Tim has retired, but eight of his children, nieces and nephews continue to work in the businesses.
